quality optics in a range finder

When viewing back and forth from myLeupold rifle scope or some other quality magnifier (either bino or spotting scope) and my prostaff 550 I really notice the optical quality difference. At what price range would one have to bump up to to get a simple point and range range finder with eye pleasing optics?

The Leicas will give the best optical qualityand are overall my favorites. The CRF Rangemaster 900 is a bit less than the 1200. The Swarovski Laser Guide is also excellent but a bit bigger and more expensive, but has a longer maximum range than the Leicas. Besides these two standouts, everything else is similar in picture quality. I use a Nikon 1200 which is a great unit, but does not have the optical quality you seem to want. A laser rangefinder gives distance, and since it is not a unit that will be looked through for any amount of glassing, optics are secondary.
