Need Help With a Rangefinder

Hello Everyone

I do not golf so my knowledge of rangefinders is pretty much nill. I would like to get my brother a golf rangefinder. I was looking at the following two made by Bushnell, are these a good choice? Is there something else I shold be looking at?

I have done a lot of research on laser rangefinders lately and my conclusion is the Pinseeker 1500 is the "best."

Most people on that forum agree that the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 or the Leupold GX-II are the two best.

One thing to keep in mind is the the Slope edition isn't legal for tournament or handicap play while the Tournament is.
