Insurance measuring

What is the best unit to measure outside only measurements of houses. There is nothing to bounce a signal off of. Just corners. Need info to do sketch of outside measurements without tromping all around in the snow with a measuring wheel?

Sorry, nothing like that. You would have to put a reflector outside the perimieter to bounce the rangefinder off of, requiring you to walk around anyway.
