Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport 450

Ok, so.. Im working with a very limited budget, and im trying to find a rangefinder to set up targets to do some long range plikning. Im shooting a Remington 700 in .308, and i want to see just how far i can reach out with it. Wish i could drop the cash for a Bushnell 1500 Elite, but its just too expensive right now . Does the Yardage pro sport 450 sound cut out for this sort of thing? It will be used to range the face of a distant hillside (or other natural terrain). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Depends on what you think long range means and what size and kind of target you have. A large white target (meaning several feet by several feet) should be able to reflect up to the maximum range of around 999 yards, depending on atmospheric conditions. Good product.

My max range is currently at around 800 yards, but I imagine that I will attempt to go out as far as the rangefinder will allow. The Targets are plywood silhouettes that are spraypainted white, approx. 3ft x 1.5ft. If i needed to i could make some bigger ones.
