Looking for gift - rangefinder for hunting and golf

I'm looking for a rangefinder for my hubby that he can use both for hunting (mostly bowhunting Elk in the NM mountains) and golf. I'm willing to spend up to $400 and want to get the most bang for my buck. I guess if I had to lean towards one sport or the other, I would lean towards hunting first.
