Dear Joanie K,
Would you please help to choose between Leica 1200-40525 & Nikon Monarch 1200-8358.
Mostly important for me are:
- reliability, especially in low temperatures (below 10 degrees C)
- quality of optics and electronic, shock and mud resistance,
- durability for years.
What do you think, considering abovewritten, about:
- Leica CRF 1200-Y
- Opti-Logic 1000 (800)XT
You often write about excellent features of Bushnell Elite 1500, I've heard lot about poor quality of electronics, short lifetime of their devices.
Whats your experience about their quality?

Hi
Have had very few compaints or issues with the Bushnell Elite, but a Leica is always a superior product in terms of optics. Highly recommended if you can afford one. I'd also rate the leica as the least likey to have problems in bad weather.
Keep in mind that at distances beyond 300 yards or so, you will still need to target a larger nearby object to get a reading, regardless of the LRF.
