I hope you can help me identify a night vision monocular. I acquired this piece in 1977. It still works, although the focal point for the optics is not desigend to be view close to the eye. Instead, I beleive this is some sort of a rifle scope accessory most likely used by the military. It may have been produced by Varian or Litton, so I am told.
It was originally powered by a 2.7 volt mercury battery. Several years ago, I modified it to accept a 4x 1.5 volt battery holder for its power needs after the original battery gave up.. This seems to work okay.
