What do you think of the Nikon or B&L pocket magnifiers that are not true
jewelers loupes, but have 3 separate flip-out lenses that if combined can give multiple permutations of magnifying power? Are they high enough quality to use for pretty frequent examination of jewelry/semi-precious stones?
I would go with a fixed power model with better optical correction, such as the Hastings Triplet, Bausch & Lomb Hastings Triplet Loupes Magnifiers, if you need more magnification, rather than standard, multiple lens models. Color correction on standard models is not up to the task of serious examination of jewelry. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
