reset turrets to zero

Postby dougedwards on Thu Aug 21, 2008 4:24 am

Bushnell and others have what is called "push-pull turrets" that reset back to zero. Can anyone tell me specifically what this means and how this works to an advantage?

It simply means that you don't have to loosen the turrets via the typical three allen screws to remove them and reset to the zero you have chosen. How this works is that you ignore the turret settings until you are zeroed with your ammo and conditions and distance. Then remove (or pull the caps up a hair until they stop) and turn them until the index mark on the scope is in line with the zero mark on the turret. Reinstall the caps with your wrench, or simply push your caps back down. Very convenient and a great idea. This will become more popular every year. Nice feature.
