Mauser Scope problems

I have a Mauser action with a new barrel chambered in 30.06. I bought the tallest rings and mount that I could find. I heated and bent the bolt handle and it still hit the ocular bell of all of my scopes. I cut that handle off and installed an aftermarket handle and it still hits the ocular bell. I need a scope with an ocular bell diameter of 1.25 inches or 31.75 mm. Does anyone have a recommendation for a scope that will work on this rifle?

1.25" is already pretty small for an ocular bell. Your issue is with the bolt handle and the mount height. Either one or both need to be changed or modified. Any good gunsmith can bend your bolt to fit.
