Best Low Light Scope?
I spend a lot of time hunting Whitetails in the Eastern woods from a tree stand. I am seeking the best possible scope for low light situations. I am willing to spend $500 to $1000 but I want the best bang for my buck. I want something that really gets me up in that high percentage of light transmission.

I forgot to mention that the scope is for a Savage .270 also.

In your price range that's about the best your going to do. There was a detailed thread in here about low light scopes that were tested in Finland or Norway a couple of years ago. Swarovski, Schmidt and Bender, Docter, and Kahles were at the top of the list of the tested scopes. Most are in the $2K or over price range if I remember. You don't want to go over 10X.
