Scope Recommendations for .22lr Competition

Postby 4H .22LR Coach on Tue Oct 05, 2010 7:46 am

Looking for recommendations on a variable scope for our 4H .22LR Sporter team competitions. We shoot three positions; standing and kneeling/sitting at 50 yards; standing at 25 yards. We are limited to 6X maximum magnification (we tape adjustments in place on any variable scopes that exceed 6X so greater than 6X is not an issue). We are currently shooting a spectrum of rimfire; CZ 452 Americans and Silhouettes, Ruger Semi-auto, Marlin, etc. Additionally, looking for target turrets or capability to attach them, reticles that hold adjustments without needing to settle in when making adjustments from prone to sitting, will hold zero during rapid fire series, parallax adjustable to 25 yards, target crosshairs, good mounting system, and rugged enough to tolerate being transported and handled by junior shooters. They are true young professional shooters; but stuff happens 
Even though I know this is a tall order, I sure could use a best by price range as well as a great combo for my CZ shooters. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The Leupold 3-9x33 EFR (extended focal range) would be an excellent choice. This scope features a 10 meter to infinity parallax adjustment which should suit your needs. The scope comes stock with short turrets, however, you can opt for a custom shop configuration to give you the M1 target turrets. With Leupold Gold Ring you know your are getting great optics.
