I have joined a shooting team and would like to know what you think would be a good scope for shooting targets from 50 to 200 yards. The scope will be mounted on a Savage Markll BV--yes we are shooting 22LR 200 yards. It's very chalenging and a lot of fun--if you haven't tried it give it a try. I was looking at a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 (the price is right) but being new to this type of shooting your opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and best regards..okrd
Fixed 10x isn't a whole lot of magnification at 200 yards and if you're shooting varying distances from 50-200 yards you will want a adjustable parallax and possibly a variable magnification. Bushnell Elites are a great choice but I would suggest the 4-16x40 with the AO. It might really help you with precision and getting the best image quality at those distances.
