rossi M59 22 magnum pump

can a scope be mounted on a rossi M59 22 magnum pump rifle thanks

Not really possible without some work, and it wouldn't be a scope, it would be a mini red dot type. I have a similar gun that's an old Remington pump. If you were to remove the rear sight and have a gunsmith make a replacement blank and drill and tap it and install a piece of Weaver style mount you should be able to mount something like a Burris Fastfire or even an inexpensive NcSTAR DDAB. Otherwise, you're out of luck. It would be a very useful gun if this happens, and I may do it to my old Remington some day.
