The Nikon P-223 3x32 will work on your gun for closer ranges, but not so much for CQB or longer distances. The P-223 3-9x40 would be a much more versatile choice, but it depends on what the gun will be mainly used for.

I have a similar question. I just purchased a 458scom a r15 for hog hunting and looking far a scope that is durable and up to 150 yards and short range as well. Any suggestions?

On My Colt H-Bar and my R-25 I have EOTechs with magnifiers for hogs and other short to medium range use. The new EOTech HHS sights with magnifiers are badly backordered, but others models are available. The speed, field of view, and durability of EOTech sights are almost unmatched by anyone. 200 yards is a long shot with one, though, in my opinion. For hogs in the dark they are superb.
For a less expensive version of a red dot, try the Burris FastFire III with the flattop mount.
