Springfield '03 .22-250 scope
I bought a Springfield '03, single-shot, .22-250 by accident...hit the "Buy Now" button and could not cancel it! I'm not a hunter but enjoy shooting. It does not have sights but once had a scope. I doubt if I'll shoot at distant targets (couldn't hit them with my m-16 when I was in the Army). What type, strength, ect. would you recommend? Thanks

Strange gun. How will you be using it?

If you want something that's fun, but can still take a few further shots, go with a 2-7x magnification scope, or around that. I like them for close and medium range shots. Redfield makes the Revolution in 2-7x33 that would be a nice choice. A good American made scope that doesn't break the bank.

Steve, I hadn't really thought about shooting much more than targets at 200 yards and less. As I said, I don't hunt anymore. Having never added a scope before, would I just have my favorite gunshop order what is recommended or would the salesman recommend a similar scope that is carried in the store?
