Quality Scope for a 30.06 Bolt Action Rifle
- Steve C
You are right in that there are many scopes available that will do the trick. It is not so much the features that rifle scopes have, it is more the quality and durability of the scope itself. Let’s start in the mid range of price and brand name. The Bushnell ELITE 3200 3-9x50 Matte Firefly Reticle Riflescope located here, http://store.yahoo.com/opticsplanet/bus ... 3956m.html is an excellent scope and has a new style reticle that glows in darker conditions when it is charged up by a flashlight. If you want to go with Bushnell I would only go with the Elite 3200 or 4200 series. This series is the most resistant to wear and is the best quality scope that Bushnell or Tasco puts out. Next we the ATN Riflescope Professional 4-12x60LU located here, http://store.yahoo.com/opticsplanet/atnrifprof41.html. ATN is an American company that makes some really cool rifle scopes. ATN uses an illuminated reticle system with range finding ability and they use bullet drop compensators to assist the hunter in getting that perfect shot. A large 60mm objective lens will provide awesome light gathering for clear viewing. This is a step up from Bushnell only because of the technology incorporated into there scopes. The price is about $379.00. There really is no really good middle and from here I would go to the bug guns. The Kahles Riflescope - Helia C3-12x56-Plex - 30mm tube located here, http://www.opticsplanet.com/riflescopes ... -plex.html is the world’s best rifle scopes manufacturer. Kahles is owned by Swarovski and I am sure everyone knows that Swarovski glass is the best in the world!! This scope is priced at $1,069.00 and I know it seems like allot and you are right it is. However, the quality and crystal clear optics along with some of the most solid construction makes these scopes worlds apart from anything else. Easy to use and the Plex reticle will make this the perfect hunting rifle!! We do all of these scopes in stock and ready to ship.
