Hi

It would be awfully hard to beat a Leupold Mark 4 LRT M1, http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-mar ... scope.html It's made specifically for the M16 and the .223

As there are various types of metal detectors sold in the market, it is really a little difficult to decide which one to choose. However, I personally like the waterproof metal detectors very much in that they can be used in ordinary occasions for metal detecting and also used at beach. It occupies the common functions of most other metal detectors, so i think it is a good choice if you are looking for metal detectors .

I have a Bushnel Elite 3200 5-15x on my AR and it is exceptional based on the $$$ criteria. Great scope for the money. Realistically, 20-300 yds have been my most common shots. Anything over 300-400yds and the 22/250 gets the call.

Just FYI, I purchased this scope and wanted it for a .308 I built, so I called Leupold and gave them the (8) Trajectory items they needed to custom build a windage knob for my .308, works amazing, Thanks Leupold...
