I'm interested in a NV monocular for boating in the Pacific NW waters. I like that the ATN Night Storm and Night Owl Explorer Marine 3X are waterproof, but I'm wondering if the better image quality of the weather "resistant" Bushnell Stealthview 5x42 Monocular (260542) is worth the "risk". I'm less concerned about the unit going overboard than how it will stand up to use in the rain and general marine environment. While I'd like to get the best image quality I can I'm not sure how robust a weather "resistant" unit will be. Any thoughts or recommendations?

thank!

I really like the Stealth View, but wouldn't trust it a lick on a boat. Too many chances for water to destroy it. The Waterproof models are the way to go on the water.
