Hi,
I would recommend the Bushnell 1x20 Night Vision goggles. They are easy to use, and the headgear is quick and easy to adjust. All Gen 1 Night Vision units will have a "fishbowl" effect when you look through them, so don't be too expectant of a clear sharp view.
Another option, if you were willing to go with a handheld monocular, is the Yukon Digital Night Ranger. This Digital unit will give Gen 2 - Gen 3 type image quality and range at the price of a Gen 1 unit. |

Can this unit (Yukon NVMT multitask 1x24 Mono) use the optional NVMT 2x, 3x, 4x lenses. I have not been able to get a clear answer on this from any of my reading. Looking at the unit it looks identical to the other NVMT monoculars. Obviously getting the Monocular with the head set would not be usable with any of the magnification lenses but if I remove it from the headset it would be very nice to get a 3x lens for distance viewing.
