After spending a good amount of time this weekend researching low cost radar guns, I still have one major point of confusion. Which Bushnell speed radar gun really and truly has a minimum speed spec of 6mph? Is it:

- the Velocity, 10-1911
- the original Speedster 10-1907, or
- the Speedster II 10-1900 ?

I have a need to clock some objects at close range (less than 20 feet) that move at between 6 and 10 mph. After scouring the Internet specs this weekend, I have found a ton of conflicting information.

If someone can confirm that one or more of these really can measure a slow speed below 10mph, I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi,

None of these units will measure that slow. The minumum speed of these units
is 12 mph. For a handheld radar gun that will allow you to measure speeds
that slow, you will need to go with the Decatur Prospeed CR-1K, which is a
more professional model of radar gun.

What are the differences in those three guns? I agree, the information on the web is pretty confusing. Some list one of the numbers, but show a different model. Others confuse the name and the model numbers. None of it really seems to address the differences.

It seems the 1907 has more functionality for remembering and averaging various speeds. I expect the radar portion is relatively the same, though perhaps updated a bit.

Thanks,
Alan

HI

The original Speedster is no longer made and hasn't been for a couple of years. It had a better display, better battery use and data stroage, but was no better in its minimum speed capability.

The current Velocity and Speedster II are the same unit. The Speedster II is an OpticsPlanet exclusive version of the current Velocity. Identical units other than packaging and slightly better price on the Speedster II.
