Hi

No model including Meade Student / Hobbyist 51-piece Microscope Kit at this price has a built in light that is serviceable. In this price range, you will only get a mirror which requires an external source of light, say a desk lamp or access to a window.

If you want a model with a built in light which actually works, you would need to move up to a serious microscope such as the Celestron Biological Microscope 4050.
