Meade 9260 Microscope for 11 y.o.?

Would you say that this Meade 9260 Microscope is a useful microscope for an 11 year old in terms of optics.

Hi

The Meade 9260 Microscope is basically the metal version of the Meade 8200 Microscope. It is a useful beginners scope, but for only a little more, you can get a much better microscope in the LOMO P-111 Modular Brightfield Microscope which can be upgraded at a later date with other accesories.
