I'm considering using a 701RC2 for use with an 85m spotting scope. How does this compare for practicality, stability and smoothness of panning compared among the 700, 501, 503, 3130, etc.?

Hi

The 701RC2 is going to bascially be the deluxe version of the 3130, making it a better choice than the 700RC2. Will have plenty of support for an 85mm scope.
