| At what distance can Game Finder Pro M Heatseeker GF-PRO-M 00075 detect a animal the size of a rabbit or a medium size dog? Also by looking at the Game finder can you tell the difference between the two. |

Hi
Gamefinders operate by detecting hot spots in the environment and the conditions that create and affect "hot spots" can change by the hour. In effect, there are far too many variables involved to quote distances for any gamefinder or heatseeker, despite manufacturer's claims. Performance will vary with the size of the target, insulation of the target, insulation around the target in terms of brush, grass, leaves and son. Performance will also be heavily dependent on environmental conditions, especially air temperture, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, time of day and so on.
Bottom line is that no gamefinder should be relied upon as a primary means of locating game, especially small game and no gamefinder made will ever be a substitute for good tracking skills or a dog. Gamefinders can help find game. once you are in the general vicinity, but there is no way to predict how they will perform one day to the next.
More expensive units will have added features such as flashlights, longer battery life, better processing software, easier to read indicator screens, etc. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
