I don't know anything about NV'S. Can you suggest a monocular for hunting big game. I'm looking for one for my father, will it make a difference in what kind to get since he's blind in one eye? Is it going to be bad to get one with more than 1x magnification? Also I keep seeing these generation identifiers on the ones I'm seeing, what does this mean?
Thanks, Claudia |

Hi
As long as you keep the magnification low, say 1x-3x, you will not be disappointed in image quality.
Perfromance in terms of range and image quality is a matter of which generation of technology the NV unit contains. Generation 1 is the lowest performing NV, but also the least expensive.
A good choice in a very reasonably priced Gen 1 NV monocular is the Night Owl Explorer 3x, http://www.opticsplanet.net/night-owl-explorer-series-3x-monoculars.html _________________ ----------------------
