I just today became aware of bino cameras! It sound like something that would be very useful at concerts, sporting events, and on vacations. Since this would be a first purchase, what would you recommend as an inexpensive starter that has battery life, reasonably small size, memory card, and good resolution?

Steer clear of the bino cameras, they are little more than a gimmick.
