Hi:

Yes I have been slow in following up to the original inquiry but I have the insurance settlement and amready to purchase. Again I am going to use the unit with my research with bats. I will need to detect and follow these relatively fast and irregular flyers in somewhat wooded situations.

You reccommended either the Yukon NVMT 2X24 Gen 2+ or the Night Owl NOXG2. Besides price what would be advantages of one over the other. The field of view is given as 30 degrees for the Yukon but not listed for the Night Owl. This would be an important aspect for me but also clarity of smqall moving images. Being able to come and try out the various ones last time was very helpful but for now I need to rely on your advice.

thank you,
Merrill Tawse.

Hi

Optically, the Night Owl has a better lens system, so I'd give it the edge over the Yukon.

We've been playing with new generation of digital NV products like the Yukon Digital Night Vision Ranger 5x42 LT Digital NV Monocular Scope and the Bushnell Night Vision 5x42 Stealth View Digital Night Vision Monocular and have been very impressed.
