Hi,

I'm seriously planning to buy a new telescope for my girlfriend but I'm
not sure which one. Here are some points:

1) Cost: around $150 or less
2) Use: Hopefully the best quality for both planetary/deep space
viewing (So, can I assume reflectors are the best ones for these?)
3) User Level: Beginner - looking for something easy to use/setup and
hopefully not hard to maintain Razz

I've looked at some scopes which present some nice specs for my price
range:

- Celestron PowerSeeker 127 EQ Newtonian Telescope
- Meade 114EQ-AST Model 4.5" F/8.8 Equatorial Telescope
- Celestron PowerSeeker 114 EQ Astronomical Telescope
- Tasco 900x114mm Luminova Reflector Telescope

Which do you think presents the best bang for the buck? I'd really
appreciate your help! Very Happy

Thanks,
JM

Go with one of these:

Tasco Galaxsee 1000x114,
http://www.opticsplanet.net/rasco-1000x114-galaxsee.html
Meade 114EQ-AST,
http://www.opticsplanet.net/meade-114eq-ast-model-45-f-88-equatorial-telescope-04056.html

Both are good choices, in-stock, ready to go, though the mount on the Tasco
is a bit more stable.
