Hi - I am considering purchasing a microscope with illumination for my son. I've narrowed my choices to the Celestron 4050 or LOMO P-111 with the illumination kit. Price-wise they work out about the same. Are there any pros/cons that would favor one over the other? Are other objectives/eye pieces available for the Celestron? Are the optics of equal quality? Thanks!

Hi
The LOMO will have a full range of accessories available for updating at a later date, including a mechanical stage, other objectives and so on. Accessory options are not available for the Celestron. The LOMO also has better optics and construction. _________________ ----------------------
