Hi
True, you don't really need a rangefinder for shotgun hunting because ranges are typically short, but a rangefinder can still tell you when a shot is too far to take safely.
Modern in-line muzzleloaders are closer in performance to some ceneterfire cartidges than to a traditional muzzloader, however. Ranges can potentially be much greater than for shotgun hunting. Here a rangefinder can provide valuable input as to hold over needed. _________________ ----------------------
