I have been wearing cheapo sunglasses for the past few years. I finally got a good pair of sunglasses, Oakleys Gascans Polarized, and now my eyes are starting to hurt after just a few min with the sunglasses on and the pain lasts well after I take them off. Is this just my eyes getting used to good sunglasses or is this not normal?

I wouldn't say so. Visit an eyecare specialist if you are having problems.
