Hello, I'm interested in Model: Bushnell Nigh Vision 263150 3,1x50 Binoculars. I need it for private use, to observe close environment. (I live next to the forest). Do you think this model is proper?

Hi

Yes, Bushnell Night Vision 3.1x50 Binocular is ceratinly a good choice in a Gen 1 binocular.

Hi!

I'm also contemplating to buy this device. As a newbie to this forum and to NVD, however, I do have the following questions

Questions

1) How long is the battery life w/o turning on the IR illuminator?
2) How long is the battery life if the IR illuminator is turn on?
3) Does it comes with lens caps and a neck strap? I suppose the tripod is an accessory?
4) Does the image suffers badly from geometric distortion? Any place whereby a captured IR image by this device can be seen? If no, do you think you can attach a picture here?
5) What's the lifespan (average) of the tube?
6) New StealthView™ digital model - any captured IR image to see?

Your answers assure me of a better buy

Thanks

Hi

Can't help on battery life, as that is a spec not supplied by Bushnell, but all Gen 1 products suffer from geometric distortion (fisheye).

Someone on another forum said it looks like the D-211, here:-

If they're similar then battery life is pretty impressive Very Happy
