This is a question I recieved today. Thought I would share it.

Can I use a nightvision riflescope by day like a normal riflescope?

Hi

That is a common question for NV riflescopes.

The answer will depend on what you mean by "using by day as a normal riflescope."

If you are asking will I see a clear bright picture with a standard crosshair as in a normal day riflescope, the answer is no. What you see in an NV riflescope used by day is the same green on green background with the same crosshair you would see at night. You will also have the same effective range (about 75 yds on a Gen 1 for accurate shooting) as you would have at night.

If you are looking for long range accuracy by day, you will need a standard day riflescope.
