| Can either the Bushnell or Sports Radar Gun radur guns measure both baseball pitching speeds and bat speeds, and how close do they need to be set up to the pitcher and/or batter? |

Hi
They can be used for both, though no radar gun recycles fast enough to record both ball speed off the bat during a hit and the bat speed.
For the Bushnell, the closer the better and with no intervening obstructions such as a backstop and certainly within 30 feet. The Sports radar has more margin, but still recommend within 60 feet. _________________ ----------------------

The Bushnell was recommended to be within 30 feet and the Sports Radar radar gun was recommend to be within 60 feet for accuracy.
If I chose the Sports Radar radar gun, can I measrure the speed of a baseball from within 60 feet of the pitcher and do I need to be directly in line with the travel of the ball to the target/catcher?
If I choose the Sports Radar radar gun, can I measure bat speed only (not the speed of a ball off the bat) from within 60 feet of the batter? |

Hi
On any radar gun, you will need to be in a straight line with the direction of motion, give or take 10 degrees, if you expect accurate readings.
Distances listed are guidelines and may vary with conditions. _________________ ----------------------
