Is Meade Microscope 900x w/ 19-piece Accessory Kit for children a good choice for an 8yo girl, 3rd grader who has no previous experience with microscopes. I was also looking at Meade 8200 Microscope for School Students & Kids w/ 3 objectives, 10 slides 08007. They look simmular, but why difference in price? and i also like the 19pc accessory kit with this model. P.s durability is important, b/c the girl has a 3yo todler brother who
likes to play with her things too.

Price is always a good indicator of quality. Go with the 8200, or, better yet, the all metal Meade 9260 Microscope 08008 DIN Objectives w/ 10 piece Biological Microscope Slide Kit.
