I Have 300 to spend on some night vison monoculars. There are SOO many different types and I'm ready to order but I don't know which one to get. I need to hear from people that are experts or have owned acouple night vision optics. I saw the one with the audio amp where it looks like a big microphone on top, that seems cool, but I also want the top of the line night vision picture for 300 and under. What model what brand? Help a brother out. Im impatient to order.

Hi

The under $300 crowd in the NV area is a large one. Most will have similar capabilities, so I like to look at other features such as waterproofing, comapctness and so on. Based on that, here are some good choices.

Yukon NVMT, http://www.opticsplanet.net/yukon-3x24-multitask.html is a nice, versatile unit.

Tasco NV200, http://www.opticsplanet.net/tasco-nv200w.html, a steal at this price and waterproof to boot.

Night Owl Explorer, http://www.opticsplanet.net/night-owl-explorer-marine-31x-monocular-nocx3m.html
