wich scope

I am shooting long range rifle at 2,3,4,500 yards, wich is the ideal scope to buy in the $2-400 range I have a line on a celestron c90 I read on one of your posts that i would have to purchase anther eye piece Which one? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Jim

For shooting beyond 200 yds, I would highly recommend an ED refractor. Unfortunately, these don't come cheap.

The C90 and other large aperture Maks are a more affordable alternative, though not offering the image quality of a good ED spotting scope. They can, however, do the job if you add other eyepieces to get the magnification up to 60x or more AND if the atmosphere is cooperating.

On the C90, you would need to go with a 1.25" eyepiece in a 20mm focal length to get 60x, or a 16mm eyepiece to get up to 75x.
