My 3rd grader daughter wants to see red blood cell and germs, say in a sponge or dirty water. We had a edu-science 150x-1200x microscope set that no longer function. But the accessories are still there. I want to buy her a good quality microscope that will last her several years. What should I buy?
For a serious compound microscope, look for a model with both coarse and fine focus, built-in illumination, light control via an iris and condensor and a mechanical stage. A minimum here would be the Celestron Biological Microscope 4050 or a Konus Academy 1000x Biological Microscope - 5325 and 5304. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
