can Canon Digital Rebel XT Camera 8MP Digital SLR Camera Kit do over 10 min exposures for astro photography is it good piggy back on a scope and or prime focus.

Yes, Canon Digital Rebel XT Camera 8MP has a bulb setting to lock the shutter open. It can be used for astrohptography.
