I have seen night vision devices that have been called gen 1 and gen 1+. I was just wondering if the + means anything. Thanks!

Hi

Doesn't really mean much in gen or even gen 2. The + just means that it is a current production tube, rather than old inventory. Remember, gen 1 technology is about 40 years old. The important thing is to read the specs. Forget the +

A gen 1 is a gen 1, but some manufacturers might sort intensifier tubes with fewer blemishes and call them 1+. Tubes are all the same though, manufactured as gen 1.
