I just received my Oberwerk 15x70 binocs yesterday from Optics Planet. After doing some daytime and night sky viewing I have to say these binoculars have to be one of the best buys out there. For $150, these sure are a great pair of binoculars to watch the stars with, and now I can see why they get geat reviews. I have them mounted on a camera tripod for now, but I'm in the process of trying to decide if I want to buy a parallelogram mount or just make my own. I'd also like to find a hard case to store them in. Any recommendations?

Thank you for your order with www.OpticsPlanet.com. I'm glad you are enjoying your binoculars. The Oberwerk 15x70's, http://opticsplanet.net/oberwerk-15x70.html, are an excellent size for astronomical use. Unfortunately we do not carry the parallelagram tripod. If you contact a local astronomy club, they often have access to where you can find one, or get some tips on building your own.

I've contacted Oberwerk and unfortunately they do not have hard case for the 70mm binoculars. They suggested finding a case with some pick-and-pull foam for sizing your own. We have some cases that might work here, http://opticsplanet.net/dry-cases.html, if you have the dimensions you need. I hope this has helped.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.
