Hi
The magnifications don't need to be better, your eyepiece quality needs to be better. A higher quality eyepiece won't provide a larger image than what your Bushell has now, but it will produce a sharper image with better detail.
On a 5" scope like the Bushnell, 150x to 175x is reasonable for planetary work. More than this will produce poor image quality and consequent loss of image detail.
With a focal length of 900mm, your scope will produce 150x with a 6mm eyepiece. You don't have to spend a fortune for a solid quality eyepiece, but expect to pay at least $40 or $50 or so. Here are some good ones:
Celestron Omni 6mm, http://www.opticsplanet.net/celestron-telescopes-eyepieces-omni-series.html
Meade Series 4000 6.4mm, http://www.opticsplanet.net/meade-super-plossl-eyepieces.html _________________ ----------------------
