Been looking at a Meade LX200GPS-SMT 10" Schmidt-Cassigrain. However the Celestron The NexStar GPS Series 11GPS or NexStar 91/4” GPS.
Now i've been using a single tube Newtonion made in the UK 25years ago, 61/4" with no drive & its give Me & now my children endless fun vewing the planets nebula clusters & the moon. Now i want to get something more serious & even try my hand at ome Astro photography... Any hint / help on selecting the best one & the best eye pieses would be appreciated.

Hi Jon
The first thing you need to determine is where to buy your telescope. If you are in the UK, you will need to purchase from a European dealer as Meade and Celestron do not allow us to export these telescopes outside the US/Canada. To do so voids the warranty.
As far as which to choose, that is a close call. Bigger is better, but only if it doesn't prevent you from setting up your scope when the mood to obsevre hits. An 11" scope is very large physically and set up time will definitely be more of a chore than with your old scope.
beginning eyepiece selection will usually include three eyepieces and a 2x barlow. _________________ ----------------------
