Hi
No reason you can't. Nothing in the manual I have seen prohibits it. _________________ ----------------------

The reason I raised is because rechargeables use 1.2V whereas alkalines use 1.5V
Can Bushnell Night Vision 5x42 Stealth View Digital Night Vision Monocular 260542 accepts both types?
Thanks |

Hi
I don't think that will be enough of a difference to matter, but you may wish to visit with a tech at Bushnell directly by calling 1-800-221-9035 _________________ ----------------------

| I just spoke with Bushnell's service department. They said that only alkaline or NiCad batteries were suitable for the device. No NiMH. Just thought I'd pass it along. |

Unless the unit won't operate on the very slightly lower voltage, you can use NiMH with it. Alkaline is 1.5v but only off the shelf, when the battery it at the end of it's life, then it is near 0.7-0.8v, whereas with NiMH it stays pretty constant at 1.2v
So again, if it will run with lower voltage, you can do it. The NiMH batteries will not break it. |
