I still use my Pentax 20x50 in my back yard overlooking Daimond Head Hi.
But I sure am jealous when I see all those new models and I had just purchased it in 1999. It must already have been old model that the salesman forgot to tell me. I don't even think it's waterproof. But when I bought it it was said to be the standard for ATC's in the airport towers monitoring the incoming and outgoing planes. Someday I'll get a new one and make sure it's the cutting edge model. Thanks for your post, rablerowser!
Pentax 20x50 PCF III binoculars - I assume is actually a very good and very popular model. Of course, binoculars as anything else, improve, evolve, and become better, but the truth of the matter is - if you buy a good pair of binoculars, they will serve you for 10-20 years, and you will not need to upgrade UNLESS your application has changed.
If the binoculars work well for you, do not change it, just enjoy it.
If you need to upgrade to a waterproof binoculars model, then sure, i understand.
In any case, we are here to help, and always have the latest models of binoculars in stock and shipping.
