how good are bushnells instant replay digital imaging binoc's??? they show 8x32 with 3.2 pix....

at $499....i am in alaska....need something for long shots....like teh dual eye piece thing...it has video...field of view is 396 at 1,000 yds....

any suggestions...i need something water resistant...don't know if these are...

Hi

No, these are not water resistant. You will need to care for them as you would any other non-waterproof camera.

No digital bino will be a substitue for a good SLR with a quality telephoto lens or even a good digital point and shoot with a 4x or more optical zoom. Digital binos are about convenience, not performance. If you need a good binocular, buy a good binocular. If you need a good camera, buy a good camera. With a digital bino, you won't get more than an "ok" version of either.
