I am a physician accustomed to evaluate the color of patients' throats with a conventional flashlight (two Duracell 1.5 volt batteries).Do any of the penlights emit a light-color and beam diameter close to this?

Hi

Try the white LED model. It will be basically the same as a standard bulb as far as color.

I tried replacing the 4 AAAA Energizers in the Stylus with Duracell AAAA. They are a bit too wide and don't go all the way down the barrel.

Streamlight acknowledged that only Energizer batteries can be used with this flashlight.
