NightStorm vs Explorer

What is the difference between the ATN Night Storm 1 and the Night Owl Explorer Owl NOCX3? They are both Gen 1 but the ATN lists 40 lp/mm which is higher than the explorer.

Which is better?

The listed lpm spec on any Gen 1 is an approximation - all Gen 1 products fall in a given range. The listed spec is representative of what you may actually receive. Since no paperwork or credentials are supplied with any Gen 1 tube, you really can't verify what you get, one way or another. However, ATN typically works with the best Gen 1 tubes in the business due to the scale of their operation and quality control. The unit you receive may only be 36 lpm, but you would never notice a difference between a 36 or 40, anyway.

Both brands are excellent units - literally as good as it gets in Gen 1. Have had excellent feedback on both.
