radar use while traveling same direction as offender

Can a radar or laser un be accuratly used by an officer while he is traveing at the same aproxament speed as the violator in the same direction as the violator?

Hi

In car radar systems commonly used by law enforcement can definitely compensate for a vehicles speed, yes. Handheld units cannot, however.
